Juan has been an advisor with Summit Pointe Financial Group since October 1, 2012.  Prior to joining SPTFG, he was most recently affiliated with Ohio National Equity Sales Company and Ohio National Financial Services.  He was also previously employed by Waddell & Reed for over 12 years, both in their home office supporting the back office operations and as a Financial Advisor in the field.   Juan served twenty years on active duty with the United States Marine Corps, serving four tours with the Fleet Marine Forces as well as with numerous Marine Corps Posts and Stations across the United States and abroad.  Juan retired from the Marine Corps while serving with the Marine Corps Support Activity, Kansas City.

Juan attended Texas A&M University before leaving to join the United States Marine Corps. He then earned a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources Management from Mid-American Nazarene College in Olathe, KS as well as his Masters of Arts in Computer Resources and Information Systems Management from Webster University, Kansas City.  He holds FINRA registrations Series 7, 63, and 65, and Life, Accident, and Health insurance license for Missouri.

Juan recently served ten years as Mayor of the City of Raymore, Missouri.  He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Hope Haven of Cass County, and he is Past Chair and former member of the Board of Directors of the Cass County Corporation of Economic Development.  Over the years he has served on many Boards and Commissions which include: Board of Trustees of Belton Regional Medical Center, Chairman of the Middle Big Creek Sewer District Board of Advisors, Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Little Blue Valley Sewer District and as a member of the Eastern Jackson and Cass County Local Operating Board and United Way of Kansas City.   He also represented Cass County on the Board of Directors Mid American Regional Council, served on the Board of Directors of the Raymore-Peculiar Public School Foundation, and is a former member of the Finance Committee of St Sabina Parish in Belton.

Juan and his wife Bessie married in 1974 in their home town of Uvalde, Texas.  They have three grown sons, are enjoying their grandchildren, and are very involved with the newest additions to their family two Great granddaughters!  Juan and his family are members of St Sabina Catholic Church and are active members of the Raymore Lions Club.  Juan is a member of the Belton Post # 488, of the American Legion and the Raymore-Peculiar Optimist Club.
